Dubai's Free Flow Tolling System
"Salik", meaning "open" or "clear" in Arabic, is Dubai's automated toll collection system. It is designed to relieve congestion on the main highways of Dubai.
Salik utilizes the latest Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. A small tag attached to your vehicle's windshield is detected by scanners at toll gates, automatically deducting the fee from your prepaid account without you ever needing to slow down.

Purchase Tag
Buy a Salik tag online, at petrol stations (Emarat, EPPCO, ENOC, ADNOC), or designated banks.
Install Tag
Stick the tag on the interior of your windshield, just below the rearview mirror, for optimal scanning.
Activate
Activate your tag via the website or mobile app using the tag number and your mobile number.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I pass a gate without a tag?
You have a grace period of 10 working days from the time of passing to purchase and activate a tag. If you do not, a fine will be issued.
How do I recharge my account?
You can recharge online via the website, the Smart Salik App, Dubai Now App, or at kiosks and banks using your account number and PIN.
Is Salik applicable to tourists?
Yes. Rental cars come equipped with Salik tags. The rental agency will charge you for the toll crossings plus a small administrative fee upon returning the vehicle.
